April 2, 2015 | FORTIETH DAY – FOUNTAIN REPAIRSLeave your thoughts | Categorised in: Fountain News & Updates, Fountain Works
Today was the fortieth day of the repairs to the fountain. Here is what was done, followed by some photos:
City Parks Department staff and a couple Friends of the Fountain and Walk (FOFW) Board members worked on remedying the water not coming out of the top (crown jet fountainhead) as before. City Parks Department staff installed a few more pipes to make sure that the temporary setup should allow the water to come out of the crown jet fountainhead a bit higher than it was.
Since it was discovered that the pool lights do not work, and the Electrical Department needs to address this issue, City Parks Department staff will wait until the Electrical Department is available to complete the permanent solution, which will probably be some time next week.
Thank you for your patience, and for your help in making this happen. Please follow my progress reports. Scroll down on this blog for details on the work and why it’s needed.« THIRTY-NINTH DAY – FOUNTAIN REPAIRS | SATURDAY – COME VOLUNTEER »
